When I came back from my recent trip to Europe, my skin was so dry after spending 24 hours in planes that it needed an urgent hydration boost. I made a quick mask with two of my favorite ingredients: honey and white clay.
About the ingredients
Honey: Honey is one of the best natural hydration boosters available. It will leave your skin soft and moisturised. Packed with many vitamins, honey also has skin regenerating properties. It is naturally antibacterial, so it’s great for acne treatment and prevention.
White Kaolin Clay: White clay is the best clay for sensitive, mature and dry skins. It’s a very gentle clay that drains impurities from the skin. It’s also anti-inflammatory.
What you’ll need
Equipment
A plastic or glass bowl
A plastic teaspoon
Remember not to use metal when making a facial mask with clay.
Ingredients
Honey – 3 spoons
White Kaolin Clay – 2 spoons
Water – 1 spoon
Recipe
Mix all ingredients together in a bowl, adding water last. Stir well.
After exfoliating your skin, apply the mask on your face with your fingers, avoiding the eyes area and the mouth.
Leave it on your face for 20 minutes. Wash with warm water and apply a moisturiser straight away.
This mask will leave your face soft and well hydrated.
