Aloe Vera is a natural ingredient for improving skin hydration.
It is even more efficient if mixed with vegetable oil, as the oil prevents loss of moisture.
- if you have dry skin, mix 1 to 2 drops of Aloe Vera gel with 1 drop of Argan oil and apply after cleaning your skin
- if you have normal, oily, or combination skin, mix 1 to 2 drops of Aloe Vera gel with 1 drop of Jojoba oil and apply after cleaning your skin
This recipe can replace your daily moisturiser and is great if you react to cream-based formulations as it will not block your pores.
Many studies also report the effectiveness of Aloe vera extracts when applied topically for the treatment of burns, sunburns and inflammatory skin disorders.

Perfect with the Jojoba oil as a moisturizer 🙂

I purchased the aloe vera gel at the instant workshop and have been using since. It is absolutely lovely and feel very fresh on my skin. I have been using it as a serum and it always leaves my skin feeling smooth and refreshed. Love this product.

I used the gel in a face serum and it did wonders. But even on its own aloe vera is so hydrating and light on the skin, essential!

I use this gel daily and love it. I usually mix it with jojoba oil as a moisturiser which is so quick and easy to do. I also went on one of Lily’s courses and also use this gel as part of a golden glow elixir (which you make on the course). This was really easy to make and my skin feels wonderfully refreshed after I’ve used it.

This is a staple in my DIY collection. It’s so versatile and can be used alone or mixed to make serum.

Plain and simple, a great product. I have been using this gel with the jojoba oil almost daily since I participated in one of Lily’s skincare workshops in 2019. I have quite sensitive skin so this easy and simple combo is perfect. I always get compliments on my skin and people often think I am in my early 20’s when I am in my early 30’s – I genuinely think this is, in part, due to this skincare routine. Would recommend.
